Let the Light Shine on Michelle Brammer

It’s not hard to see that we take a lot of pride in our office family here at eZanga. So this week we're showing off Michelle Brammer, Director of Marketing. Michelle is who we turn to for advice or a laugh, and it’s easy to see why.

Michelle describes her team as a green yet aggressive bunch. While managing a younger team has its challenges, she enjoys guiding them to learn the trade and grow their expertise.

She says the hardest part of being a manager is letting your team make mistakes. This helps her team learn from their own choices, and shows that no mistake is truly “catastrophic." Michelle believes this quality is an invaluable quality for a team leader.

A typical day includes writing eZanga articles, managing social interactions, and running numbers. Because the team recently switched marketing software and added a PR firm, Michelle is pretty busy with this year’s team goals.

When she's not working with the PR team on “secret cool things,” Michelle reads up on popular industry topics. Michelle likes to keep up-to-date on what our buyers are interested in as well, which includes the hot topic of click fraud prevention.

Michelle mostly spends her free time with her two young children, or working on restoration projects. If she’s not busy with either of those time-intensive things, she’s rooting for her favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

It’s not unusual for pranks to happen at our office. Lucky for her, she hasn't been pranked yet (hint hint). But she’s helped with her fair share of pranks, especially on the interns (should I be worried?).

This type of “Play Hard” fits right into her favorite part about working at eZanga: the family dynamic. She says everyone is “here for a common mission” and celebrates the small wins in life together.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

“I actually wanted to be a veterinarian. I’ve always had a strong passion for animals.”

Describe eZanga in one word.

“Refreshing.”

What’s been your favorite topic to write about?

“My favorite topic to write about would be the one I’m the most horrible at: copywriting. However, because I’ve been writing about it, it’s made me more cognizant of how to write and copy better.”
